Steven Dinverno - Director

2LT Steven Dinverno is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Michigan State University. He commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in May of 2018 into the Aviation Branch. He enlisted into the Army in September of 2008 and attended Basic Training in FT Jackson, South Carolina. Upon completion of Basic Training he moved on to Advanced Individual Training at FT Gordon, Georgia, where he earned his Military Occupational Skill, 25U, Signal System Support Specialist. He then completed both Airborne School and the Ranger Indoctrination Program (RIP) in FT Benning, Georgia. Upon completion of RIP he earned his Tan Beret and became an official member of the 75th Ranger Regiment.  In the 75th Ranger Regiment he served as a Platoon Radio Telephone Operator and Company Communications Chief for Alpha Company 3rd Ranger Battalion. He deployed five times with Alpha Company to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) from 2009 to 2014. During that time, he completed Ranger School, Warrior Leader Course, Equal Opportunity Leadership Course, Jumpmaster School, Basic Installers Course, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, and Advanced Leadership Course. Upon returning from his 5th deployment to Afghanistan 2LT Dinverno attended a selection to become a member of a unit within Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) where he served as a Tactical Communicator in FT Bragg, North Carolina. While serving in JSOC he completed the Special Operations Radio Operators Course, SERE, Military Free Fall Course, and multiple shooting and driving schools. He deployed in support of the Global War on Terror as a Special Operations Communicator with JSOC in February of 2016 and was medically evacuated from theatre in March of 2016. After making a full recovery 2LT Dinverno was selected to participate in the Army’s Green to Gold Program where he earned his bachelors in Business Administration from Davenport University, commissioned through Michigan State University’s ROTC Program. 2LT Dinverno is engaged to Nora Schultz and is the youngest of 14 children and from Commerce Township, Michigan.
